Travis Marchman, MA

Psychological Associate

Travis Marchman, MA

Travis Marchman, MA, is a psychological associate at the Center for Authenticity. He is devoted to working with adults and adolescents in the here and now, using the clinical relationship itself as the main tool for discovery, growth, and change. Through this relationship, Travis supports those he works with as they pursue greater psychological health and an authentic way of being.

Travis integrates his neuropsychological training into psychotherapy to provide additional insight into the challenges facing those he works with. In addition to his psychotherapeutic work at CFA, Travis is a clinical neuropsychology extern at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. At the Mindsight Institute, Travis collaborated with Dan Siegel, MD, on his interpersonal neurobiology curriculum.

Before entering the field of clinical psychology, Travis worked for nearly a decade in leadership positions at high-performance technology companies. His work spanned product, client-facing, operational, and team leadership roles. This time provided first-hand experience with both the pragmatic challenges of modern work and the existential struggles that come with creating an authentic life amidst these pressures.

Travis is a fellow of the American Psychological Association’s Minority Fellowship Program. This competitive, nationwide fellowship supports future leaders in psychology whose work is focused on serving minoritized ethnic communities. He is a 2024-2025 scholar of the Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology’s (APA Division 39) Scholar Program, which identifies and supports talented students and early career professionals training in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic practice. He also holds leadership positions in the field, including appointments to the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology’s Disruptive Technology Initiative Committee and the Executive Committee of the Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (APA Division 44).

Travis holds a BA from Yale University and an MA in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. As a psychological associate currently completing doctoral training in clinical psychology, Travis practices under the supervision of Tara Schlussel, PhD, CA #34050.
