Gita Zarnegar, PhD
Co-Founder, Psychoanalyst/Psychotherapist
Dr. Gita Zarnegar has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, from California School of Professional Psychology and a Psy.D. in psychoanalysis, from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. She has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and is a licensed M.F.T. since 1988. She has been in private practice for 32 years in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Zarnegar specializes in mood disorders, couples therapy, and trauma related issues. She has lectured at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, American Jewish University, UCLA, Sinai Temple, Maple Center, Kenter School, Milken High School, the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology, and has been a plenary speaker at the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. She was chosen as Scholar in Residence at the Sinai Sisterhood retreat. She has been on the Board of institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in addition to serving as the chair of ICP Extension program for three years.
